This is a beautifully rustic handmade ceramic pumpkin, with a wonderfully atmospheric woodland feel.
The pumpkin has a rounded, slightly squat form with deep ridges, finished in dark earthy brown tones. Rich rust, ochre and golden glaze drips cascade down the sides, giving it the appearance of autumn leaves, woodland bark or molten colour. The glossy surface catches the light beautifully.
Another feature is the twisted, curled ceramic stalk, finished in mottled earthy greens and browns, which gives the piece lots of character.
