This ceramic wall sculpture has a quiet, regal presence, balancing strength with serenity. The elongated features and softly closed eyes create a contemplative expression, while the earthy palette and textured surface give it an ancient, weathered quality which is what I wanted.
Speckled glazes and subtle oxide washes enhance every contour, highlighting the sculptural details and giving the piece a rich, tactile finish. The asymmetrical style and slightly irregular form celebrate the handmade process, adding character and authenticity.
