This bird bath was thrown in two parts on a pottery wheel. When it was leather hard I carved into the base and also did the fish which had been Underglazed with the orange. I fired to 1000 deg centigrade. After that firing I added clear glaze to the top and a lovely blue glaze to the base. It is frost proof
